You found a Numikeep card.
It opens a coin collection inventory — a list of what the person owned, what they paid, what it is worth now, and where each piece is kept. This page checks the card and tells you what happens next.
Take your time. Nothing here expires, and nothing you do on this page can damage or lose anything.
What happens after this
- You start a claim. The card alone is not enough to open anything, and it never was — that is deliberate, and it is what makes it safe to have been handed to you years in advance.
- There is a waiting period. During it we contact the owner repeatedly on every address and device we have. This is intentional. It exists so that a lost card, or someone who should not have it, cannot open a living person's collection — and it is the same protection that will apply to yours one day.
- If the owner does not respond, you are let in. No one at Numikeep decides this and no one can hurry it or stop it. It runs on a clock.
- You get the full inventory, read-only: every piece, its grade, what was paid, an estimated current value, where it is kept, and any notes or wishes the owner left about what should happen to it.
Before you sell anything
The most common and most expensive mistake at this point is selling quickly. A collection built over decades can lose a large part of its value in one afternoon at the wrong counter, and it cannot be undone. There is no hurry — coins do not spoil.
Get the inventory first. Then take it to two or three dealers, or an auction house, and compare. If the owner left instructions about who to contact or what not to break up, you will find them in the inventory — follow those first.
What we can and cannot do
We cannot skip the waiting period, shorten it, or make an exception — not for a funeral, not for a lawyer, not for a genuine emergency. The clock is deliberately not ours to override, because a countdown we could shorten is one that anybody who compromised our systems could shorten too, and then it would protect nobody.
What we can do is help you make sure the claim is properly filed, confirm where in the countdown it is, and tell you the day access opens. We will not read the collection out to you before then.
If you are stuck, write to us and a person will answer.
